Nicole Fairoux

Trustee through 2023

Nicole Fairoux has a background in Environmental Science. She received her Masters of Science in 2016 from the University of Colorado. Before moving to Stockbridge, she previously worked for the U.S. Geologic Survey’s Environmental Change Science Center as a Physical Scientist for almost nine years. Her past research with the USGS involved using remote sensing data with statistical and process-based ecosystem simulation models to understand the drivers behind ecosystem disturbances (such as fire) and quantify the impacts of such disturbances on human and natural systems. Two years ago she left her position and moved to Stockbridge with her family to raise their child. “We moved to Stockbridge because we found it to be the perfect place to raise a family, where you can slow down and pursue a less stressful existence. A place to raise a child with a sense of community that offers a variety of art, culture, and outdoor recreation, as well as excellent options for education. We love it here and see it as our forever home which is why we want to be involved in the community and help to make contributions however we can.”
