The Moerschner Preserve is a completely wooded parcel northeast of the center of Stockbridge, abutting the Lee town line. It is one of the Association’s newest acquisitions. It was gifted to the Association for $1 in a deed from Marjorie D. Moerschner filed December 31, 2013.

The southwest corner of the parcel abuts an interstate gas transmission line.

Restrictions. In a Gift Agreement dated December 23, 2013, the parties agree that the Association “…shall…manage the Property only in such manner as shall further those Charitable Purposes [improving the quality of life and the environment in the Town of Stockbridge]”.

Trails. None at this time.

Size. 4.28 acres

Location. Along Lee Road at the Lee town line. Bounded by Lee Road on the north, the Lee town line on the east, and the gas transmission line on the southwest corner. Yale Hill Road is a short distance to the west.

Directions. Starting at the Red Lion Inn, head east on Main Street, then north on East Street/Route 7. A short distance past the top of the hill, turn right/east onto Lee Road. Just after Yale Hill Road merges in on the right, and just before the Lee town line, the parcel is the wooded lot on the right/south.
