LHA honors the great legacy of the Mahican Tribe, the Stockbridge Native Americans, who were forced to give up their beautiful land…the same land we cherish and protect today. In this spirit, LHA acknowledges Indigenous Peoples Day and supports the bills to change the MA state flag, seal, and motto, and ban Native American sports mascots in public schools. The bill to change the Massachusetts flag and seal passed the Senate unanimously on July 28th of this year.
