Timothy (Tim) O’Brien has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Tim spent his Engineering career in energy-related projects and operations across the Northeast US and Maritimes Canada. During this time, he led teams as Manager of Environmental Permitting and Compliance, Director of Technical Operations and Project Director. Tim grew up in Springfield, MA and visited regularly with his aunt and grandparents on Elm Street in Stockbridge. He lived briefly in the family home (now the Red Lion Inn O’Brien House) after college. Both Tim and his spouse, Rosemary, who is from Great Barrington, are retired from engineering careers. After living in and around Boston for almost 40 years, they returned to the Berkshires fulltime in 2019, residing in Stockbridge. Tim and Rosemary are avid hikers and cross-country skiers. Since moving back to the Berkshires, they have enjoyed volunteering and exploring the outdoors year-round.
