Cheryl Resetarits
Cheryl Resetarits was born in California, raised in St. Louis, and has spent the better part of the last forty years living up and down the East Coast (with a wee habitation in the U.K.). One constant in these restless sojourns has been yearly visits to the Berkshires — maybe summer but just as likely fall or winter. When it was time to retire, there was only one place that really felt like home. She’s been in Stockbridge for three years now and couldn’t be happier.
Cheryl also exists as C. R. Resetarits, a collagist and writer. Her collages have appeared in the pages or on the covers of dozens of magazines and books. She likes edges — edges as in poignant and slightly threatening and edges as in interconnectedness. Her work often employs the edges of forgotten, abandoned things, found items that are not only about ecological realities and the future but also human mysteries and the past. Her work strives to invite chance, happy falls, miraculous mistakes, ponderous puns, and visual slapstick.
